ROME, Italy – July 3, 2026 – A prestigious recognition celebrating Italian scientific research and innovation in integrated medicine was presented at the Italian Senate during the conference “The Value of Italian Excellence Around the World.” The event, promoted by Senator Antonio Trevisi, brought together Congresswoman Fucsia Nissoli Fitzgerald, members of the National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), Italian Producers President Giusi Malcangi, and was moderated by Professor Michele Panzarino.
During the ceremony, the authors of the book ADHD and Giftedness – The Integrated Revolution, published by Magi Edizioni, received a national award for their contribution to advancing innovative research and promoting a comprehensive, person-centered approach to ADHD and giftedness.
The recognition was presented to Maria Laura Sadolfo, psychologist and neuropsychologist specializing in well-being, Director of the Lazio chapter of the Italian Mindfulness Federation and creator of the Sense ADHD Protocol; Mauro Ciro Antonio Rongioletti, Director of the Department of Laboratory Sciences at Isola Tiberina Hospital in Rome and Scientific Director of the observational study; Gennaro Bruno, Consultant Physician specializing in ADHD, giftedness, autoimmunity, and allergy medicine; and Fabrizio Papa, Quality Manager and expert in Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
Accepting the award on behalf of the research team was Maria Laura Sadolfo.
In her remarks, Sadolfo presented the integrated model developed by the authors, which moves beyond the traditional symptom-focused clinical approach to ADHD by promoting a preventive, personalized framework that combines neuroscience, laboratory medicine, nutrition, in-depth research on the gut-brain axis, and Psychoneuroendocrinoimmunology (PNEI). The model aims to recognize each individual as a whole person, empowering patients to become active participants in their own health and well-being through a systemic mind-body approach.
«”Children and young people with ADHD and gifted individuals are powerful drivers of innovation. When we stop labeling them and begin understanding them in their full biological, psychological, and relational complexity, we are investing in tomorrow’s excellence,” Sadolfo said during the ceremony.»
Through the publication of this volume, Magi Edizioni reaffirms its commitment to supporting researchers and authors who promote innovative observational research, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment models. The publishing house continues to foster a scientific culture centered on inclusion, the enhancement of human potential, and innovation in healthcare, both in Italy and internationally.
